The Client
Jewish Family Service Calgary (JFSC) is a non-denominational social service agency offering programs like financial planning, mental health support, and basic needs assistance. JFSC hosts the Martin, Staniloff & Thal Charity Golf Classic each year, celebrating donors and fostering community connections.
Project Overview
JFSC tasked me with designing a cohesive tournament package, including a registration form, sponsorship package, brochure, and promotional materials. The goal was to create a vibrant, engaging design that captured the event’s fun, community-oriented spirit.
The project aimed to develop unified materials that informed and excited participants and sponsors while reinforcing JFSC’s brand identity

My Process
I designed comprehensive event materials across two years, refining the style each time to balance creative expression with functional layouts. This included curating imagery, designing layouts, and crafting typography to create visually appealing and cohesive deliverables.
Key Highlights
Designed the 2021 and 2022 golf tournament packages, including registration forms, sponsorship packages, and brochures.
Balanced content density with clean, visually engaging layouts.
Refined the design in 2022, exploring a cleaner style while maintaining JFSC’s brand identity.

I wanted to keep the attention on the vibrant image for this page and only highlighted the most essential information.

I chose to use an image with people on this page to highlight the community aspect of JFSC, and because this image had so much sky which made the layout simple for the copy.

Reflection
This project challenged me to balance creativity with functionality, especially when designing content-heavy items for senior audiences. In 2021, I leaned into vibrant, gradient-based visuals; in 2022, I saw a shift toward modern minimalism. Each iteration allowed me to refine my layout, typography, and brand consistency skills.

More stuff.
